Conasa Infraestrutura is now a “Friend Company of the Londrina Cancer Hospital”
Conasa Infraestrutura is now a Friend Company of the Londrina Cancer Hospital (HCL). By joining this initiative, the company receives a seal of recognition, which means that Conasa joins a group of companies that work to help the institution. Every year, the HCL treats around 40,000 patients from approximately 160 municipalities in the Londrina region - where our headquarters is located.
Around 95% of HCL’s patients come from the Unified Health System (SUS), so donations and partnerships with companies are essential for it to be able to offer the best and most humanized cancer treatment to everyone.
Conasa’s support is in line with the company’s values. As a signatory of the UN Global Compact, the world’s largest corporate sustainability initiative, we reinforce our commitment to promoting health and well-being, which is present in all our investments.
About the Londrina Cancer Hospital
The Center of Medical Research in Norte Paranaense, which later became the Londrina Cancer Hospital, was created in 1965. The philanthropic organization was conceived by Lucilla Pinto Ballalai, who moved from Bahia to Londrina and did much volunteer work in the region.
Initially, the Center was focused on preventing cervical cancer in women. However, with the community’s and volunteers’ support, the initiative expanded rapidly. Today, the organization specializes in complete and humanized cancer treatment, is the second-largest cancer hospital in Paraná, and is a national reference in supporting and treating cancer patients.
