CONSORTIUM EXPANDS OPERATIONS IN MATO GROSSO

Led by Conasa Infraestrutura, Via Brasil operates two road concessions in the State.

A Concessionaire contract to administer road MT-320 between Alta Floresta and the junction with BR-163 was signed at the end of May. The road is 188.2 km long and covers five counties in Northern Mato Grosso.

Positive expectations towards improvements of road conditions increased the number of investments in the region’s agricultural sector. The consortium has already started structuring works and road preparation for the toll operation.  The current phase has a 12-month contract deadline. Concession for commercial exploration of the road is 30 years.

At the other end of the state – the Southeast – works on the MT-100 road are advancing fast.  MT-100 is considered a strategic road for the development of Mato Grosso, since it reduces the distance between the Midwestern and Southeastern regions by 180 km. Concession deadline is also 30 years.
