Actions carried out by Conasa Águas de Itapema involved children, communities and leaders in the week of celebration of the Environment Day

Only one Earth. This was the motto of the Environment Day 2022 at the Stockholm Conference, the same that guided the first meeting that took place 50 years ago, when the celebration of the date was instituted worldwide. In Itapema, a coastal city of Santa Catarina, Conasa Águas de Itapema carried out several environmental education actions during a week of celebration, involving children, communities, and leaders.

Children from 4 to 6 years old participated in recreational workshops to raise awareness about the importance of water and its preservation for life, by means of puppet shows, painting, and music, at the Municipal Child Education Centers.

The population was invited to be protagonists in the planting of 100 seedlings in the Capivaras Park, with the objective of helping to preserve the Perequê River, and to participate in the exchange of 300 native tree seedlings for toys donated to the Amigos do Morretes social project.

Leaders also came together in seminars sharing knowledge and innovations for sustainable practices and solutions for the environment. The participants of the events received gifts such as seed paper and pencils, which reinforced the importance of planting trees and raising awareness about the contribution of each one to the preservation of rivers and the sustainability of the Earth.
