VIA BRASIL BR-163 OPENS PROCESS FOR HIRING 331 EMPLOYEES

Openings are destined to highway services operations and work fronts; recruitment will take place in Itaúba and Guarantã do Norte, in Mato Grosso, and Novo Progresso and Trairão, in Pará

With the recovery works of BR-163 already underway, Via Brasil BR-163, a Conasa Group company, opens, in June, a selection process for filling 331 job positions. The benefits generated by the revitalization of the most important road corridor for Brazilian agribusiness go beyond paving the road, since the performance of the concessionaire will boost the job market and generate income in several cities along the stretch.

The 331 employees will take up positions in the construction site (95) and highway operation (236). The concession expects to offer several services to users, such as mechanical assistance, emergency medical care, road inspection, firefighters, apprehension of animals in the domain strip and information system, and the necessary positions for the operation of the toll plazas. These and other activities make up the highway operation.

Recruitment for the operation positions will take place in the cities of Itaú, while the vacancies for the construction front will be destined to the region of Guarantã do Norte (MT), Cachoeira da Serra (Altamira - PA) and Novo Progresso (PA). Many of the openings are an opportunity to enter the job market, since they do not require experience or higher education.

Via Brasil BR-163 values the respect, appreciation and safety of its employees. The concessionary offers remuneration compatible with the market and benefits, as well as training and all the equipment necessary for the function. “The role of Via BR-163 goes beyond delivering a safer and more modern highway, adequate to the traffic demand. The concessionaire acts as a region development partner and job generation is one of the most immediate and perceptible returns of this operation. Generating job opportunities means including hundreds of people in the market, expanding income and increasing the number of qualified professionals, generating positive chain results in the counties located along the BR-163 highway", says Fernando Fujisawa, CEO of Via Brasil BR-163.

IMPROVEMENTS UNDERWAY

Via Brasil BR-163 took over, in May, the management of the 1,009 kilometers of BR-163/230/MT/PA, between Sinop, in Mato Grosso, and the Port of Miritituba, in Pará. The stretch is considered the main corridor for the outflow of grain production from the Center-West and North regions. The concession contract lasts 10 years and expects investments of more than R$ 2 billion.

The road rehabilitation work has begun and will continue for the next few months. Motorists who travel along the road already noticed the first improvements and the increasing movement of equipment and men along the lanes.

In this phase, the concessionaire will restore the highway to better levels of safety and traffic flow. The work front is focused on recovering the asphalt, signaling, drainage, safety elements and special artwork (bridges, viaducts and overpasses), among others.

The work schedule along the more than 1,000 kilometers of road prioritize working during daytime hours. At the points of intervention, the company has installed signs to alert and make users aware, as well as flagmen, since there may be retention at "stop-and-go" points. In the case of interventions at night, in addition to all the signs provided, lighting systems will be installed in order to promote safety for workers and road users
