WORLD WATER DAY HOLDS AN ONLINE EVENT REALIZED BY CONASA AND UNIVALI

The initiative includes a lecture with Vilfredo Schürmann, captain of the Schürman Family expeditions to be broadcasted on Youtube starting at 6 pm.

This coming Monday (22), World Water Day, Univali, Conasa Intrastrutura and Itapema Conasa Águas holds, starting at 6 pm, an online event to celebrate the date with the topic “ Water: life and world connections”.

The initiative includes a lecture with Vilfredo Schürmann, captain of the Shürman Family expeditions that, in addition to having lead and coordinated two round-the-world expeditions at sea, was awarded with the Merit Medal by the Brazilian Navy in 2012. It will also count on the presence of specialists that will discuss themes related to water health such as human habits, oral health, conscientious disposal of medications and water and sewage treatment.

The objective of the meeting, with opening remarks from Conasa Infrastrutura President, Mario Marcondes Neto, and from the Director of the Sea School, Science and Technology, Luis Carlos Martins, is to expand the debate on the current situation of the waters, good practices and collective and individual responsibilities.  Discussion will focus on the Sustainable Development Objectives and on the Ocean Decade, since the year 2021 marks the beginning of a decade of caring beyond fresh water.   Event participation is open to anyone interested through youtube.com/univalivideos.
