The public lighting concessionaire installed 780 high

The City Hall of Caraguatatuba/SP, through the Deaprtment of Public Works, has concluded the first stage of the lighting modernization project for Avenida da Praia median strips. The section contemplated by the modernization project includes Dr. Arthur da Costa Filho and Geraldo Nogueira da Silva Avenues and goes from Camaroeiro to the Jardim Aruan neighborhood.

The entire service was performed by Caraguá Luz. The public lighting concessionaire, the result of the PPP signed in 2015 by Conasa Infrastructure, installed 780 high-efficiency light fixtures, each with 130 W power.

Besides the light fixtures, 42 new poles were installed to improve the uniformity of the site and 158 metallic supports in red shades that were inspired by plants from the bromelia family that give origin to the city's name (Caraguatá - tyba).

In the same stretch, in Martim de Sá and in the sidewalk of Avenida da Praia, Caraguá Luz reinforced the lighting and made some improvements. The next stage, planned for April, includes the modernization of the lighting at Jardim Britânia, Praia das Palmeiras and Porto Novo medians. Next, Caraguá Luz will implement a modern luminotechnical project for the beach sand strip, contemplating up to 80 m, depending on the stretch.

With this project, the City intends to improve and intensify the practice of sports such as, for example, basketball and beach tennis, as well as leisure at night. The intention is also to boost commercial activities along the waterfront, bringing more comfort and safety to citizens.
