Action made it possible to build a suitable place for children to practice Aikido after school
Conasa Infraestrutura was one of the supporters of constructing the AME (Associação Mãos Estendidas) Aikido Dojo headquarters, which opened in Londrina in the last week of September.
AME, which celebrated its 20th anniversary in 2023, now has a suitable space for Aikido classes with a capacity for more than 100 children, divided into two periods. Until then, the sport was practiced on an open court, with no protection from the weather, and the tatami mats had to be set up and dismantled every day.
The classes teach self-defense sports practices, exercising the students' concentration and self-control abilities and strengthening their physical and spiritual development. Thus, the Association seeks to contribute to the integral formation of citizens who can help shape a more equitable society.
In addition to Aikido classes, AME offers workshops in theater, art, music, classical ballet, capoeira, artistic gymnastics, basketball, chess, athletics, a playroom, and IT, serving around 120 children from Conjunto Novo Amparo during the school day.
The Association is open to contributions from citizens and companies who want to be agents of social transformation. To find out more, visit https://www.maosestendidas.org.br/.
