Apps give meter readers agility during operations

Conasa Sanesalto is now operated by a new management system, which brought important efficiency and processes optimization gains to hydrometer readings and consumers´ account management. Through a smartphone, the app used by the meter readers can also register signs of frauds in the meters immediately, bringing agility to the process of combating the illegal use of water. The new commercial system, together with smartphones, uses technology to make consumption deviations and irregularities in the reading process evident and promote water preservation and conscious consumption.  

Another important process to benefit from this new technology is the process of suppression and reconnection of water supply due to lack of payment. The expectation is to make great improvements in service orders for the execution and reconnection during supply shutdowns, since the smartphone can detect and store in a databank photographic images of the fieldwork clearly and and effectively.
