Installation will benefit populations over 73 thousand people. Conasa constitutes a Specific Purpose Society to operate in the county. 

The Caçadores Sewage Plant, in Maceió, under construction by SANEMA, a specific purpose society constituted by CONASA, began its foundation works at the end of 2018.

ETE infrastructure is designed to provide services to eight neighborhoods uptown Maceió  and housing expansion up to 130 thousand people, which may occur in 30 years’ time, during SANEMA’s agreement period with Companhia de Saneamento de Alagoas (CASAL).

In the beginning of this year, pipes for the construction of a sewage collection system will be installed, a total of 117 km, with 183 km of home extensions, the equivalent of 23.220 connections.
